Objective

To support the community with my commitment to inspiring youth and adults to connect to music and movement. To continue to develop and implement exciting and alternative music and movement programs that encourages students' interest in the arts as a means of self-expression.

Key achievements: Working with non-profit organizations to create and facilitate six-week playshops.  Includes: creating, painting, and playing didjeridu.  Focus on breathing, music and sound as healing modalities.  Bringing in Aboriginal storytelling and connection to nature.

Key Achievements: Completed Inside Out Training / Curriculum. Facilitated theater workshops that taught awareness and expression of feelings; non-violent communication; and conflict resolution. Led warm-ups, and expression workshops for up to 30 students at a time. Co-directed and assisted students in theatrical productions. Created fun, engaging team building activities and programs. Provided live music and sound effects for student performances.

Key achievements: Created curriculum which engages students to connect with their own bodies and feelings in relationship to music and movement and to apply awareness to world percussion instruments and Didjeridu.

DRUMS AND RHYTHMS OF THE WORLD 2003 to 2011

Key achievements: Worked with world-renowned percussionist Jim McGrath in presenting world percussion and dance to schools throughout Los Angeles. Engaged up to 150 students, classes K - 8 with interactive performances.

 

Street Theater Performer

Reef Festival (Cairns, Australia). Americas Cup (Auckland, New Zealand). 1999 - 2000 Created interactive street theater character and employed by city council to perform and interact with e vent participants.
