Over twenty years ago I became deeply inspired by the ancient culture of the Aboriginal people of Australia. Specifically the Yolngu from N.E. Arnhemland in the Northern Territory. Their deep connection to being custodians of land and everything in and around them touched a part of my gut and soul that I was just slightly aware of. Possibly all indigenous cultures (which includes ALL of us), have music, song, dance and story telling as an integral contributor to life. This relationship to land and each other overwhelmed me with inspiration and led me to teach music and dance from a very elemental and common ground. I intend to stoke that ancient coal in each and every person; that genetic connection to ancestors who participated in these ancient forms of expression. In nature, Under the sky, with exclusively acoustic music and dance gatherings. Let's get that coal hot and moving to flame. Moving past our synthetic, busy and spectator style of living.
I am a grateful husband and father and am thankful for all that is in our lives. My general disposition leans toward being an inspirator, motivator and a feather-ruffler and in that space I feel devoted to creating experiences that enrich, inspire, educate, entertain and heal.
